Year-End Event at Butler University
The Fishers-HSE Girls Basketball Board would like to invite all rec and travel players to attend the
Butler Womens Basketball game on March 3rd against Wright State at Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The girls will get an opportunity to go on the floor and welcome the players from both
Butler and Wright State at the start of the game. The girls will also be participating in half
time activities. Immediately following the game, they will have an opportunity to participate
in a skills and fundamentals clinic that we will put on.
What a great experience for the girls to be able to play on the Hinkle Fieldhouse court. This
is a great way to end both the Rec and Travel Season.
This invitation is open to all 1st - 6th grade rec and travel players in our program. The
Board will provide a FREE ticket to each player that will get the girls admitted into the
game and clinic. The only requirement is that each participating player must purchase at least
one reduced priced game ticket. We have partnered with Butler and are able to offer these tickets
for $5.00. Each parent/family member/friend must have a ticket in order to be admitted to the floor.
You will be able to purchase your tickets the day of the event at the ticket booth. We will have a
block of them reserved for family and friends.
In order to participate, please contact Arlene Weber
(aweber30@comcast.net) and let her know your
daughter's grade and how many tickets your family will need for the event.
Plans are being finalized and we will made adjustments to accommodate as many girls as we can.
The anticipated agenda is as follows:
1:15pm-1:30pm arrive for game starting at 2:00pm
Immediately following will be clinic for all girls to participate in. Once times are received
on how long clinic will be information will be forwarded.
Our Board can't express how excited we are to give our players the opportunity to see Hinkle
Fieldhouse from a perspective that not many girls their age get to experience. This should be a
truly fun day and we strongly encourage your daughters and you to attend. If you have an questions,
please feel free to contact Arlene at 652-3251 or email her.

Rec league evaluations
Rec League evaluations will be held for girls in the 3rd-6th grade on
Sunday, October 2 from noon-3:00 p.m. at Hamilton Southeastern High School in the auxiliary gym.
To improve flow and make things faster for everyone, we are asking that girls in 3rd and 4th grade
come between noon and 1:30, and girls in 5th and 6th grade come between 1:30 and 3:00. Girls will
be put through a series of basic shooting, ballhandling, and agility drills to assess their skill
level. Evaluations are being performed in order to create balanced teams, rather than having players
assigned to teams randomly.
We expect the evaluation process to take 20-30 minutes per girl. Girls who are unable to attend will be placed on
teams at random.
