Spring/Summer 2010 FHS and HSE Girls Basketball Camps

The Fishers and Hamilton Southeastern high school basketball programs will be offering camps this spring and summer for all girls entering 2nd-8th grade. The camps will be conducted by the varsity coaching staffs and players. The dates for this years camps are:

Fishers High School

Youth Camp: May 17th-20th
  2nd-5th Grade: 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  6th-8th Grade: 7:30-9:00 p.m.

Shooting Camp: June 7th-9th
  5th-8th Grade: 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Elite Camp: June 14th-16th
  5th-8th Grade: 7:00-9:00 p.m.

HSE High School

Youth Camp: June 7th-10th
  2nd-4th Grade: 9:00-10:30 a.m.
  5th-7th Grade: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  8th-9th Grade: 12:00-1:30 p.m.

Big 10 Womens Tournament tickets, courtesy of Symantec Corp.

Thanks to a generous donation from the Symantec Corporation, we have been offered a limited number of tickets in the Symantec Suite for this weekend's Big 10 Womens Basketball Tournament at Conseco Fieldhouse.

Due to time constraints, we will be offering the tickets to a few randomly drawn rec league teams. Coaches will be notified as soon as possible.

Tourney Time!

The 3rd grade, 4th grade, and 5th/6th grade leagues will conclude the season with a tournament during the first week of March. Schedules are posted on the league pages, available under the "Rec League" link above.

In lieu of a tournament, the 1st/2nd grade league will play an extra game during the first week of March. This schedule is available on the league page.

Hama Slama Jama

Join HSE S.P.O.R.T.S. on Monday, February 15th at Hamilton Southeastern High School gym, 5:00pm - 7:30p.m. for Hama Slama Jama. This has traditionally been a boys event in the past, but thanks to our partnership with the Pacers and Fever, is now for all boys and girls in our rec and travel basketball programs.

• Kids games and activities in the HSE auxiliary gym from 5:00pm – 6:00pm
• Performances and autographs by The Pacemates and Pacers Power Pack
• Boomer and Freddy Fever
• And don’t miss your chance for FREE Pacer and Fever give-aways!

Donations will be accepted to Haiti relief through American Red Cross. Portion of food sales from Qdoba, Mark Anthony’s Pizza, and Dippin’ Dots will be donated.

Girls High School State Tournament

Update: Congratulations to the HSE Lady Royals on their 47-45 victory over Carmel in the first round of Sectinals last night. The Lady Royals and Fishers Lady Tigers will square off Friday night at 7:30 at Fishers HS, with the winner advancing to Saturday night's Sectional championship game. Please come out and show your support for Fishers and HSE girls basketball!

Thanks to all who attended the HSE and Fishers youth night games in January. We hope all of the girls had fun! For anyone who would like to see our varsity teams in action again, the state tournament begins on Tuesday, February 9, with Fishers High School hosting Sectional #9. HSE will take on Carmel at 7:30 on Tuesday, and the winner will face Fishers at 7:30 on Friday, Feb. 12. Please note game times are approximate, as both games are the second game of a double header. The sectional final will be played at 7:30 on Saturday, Feb. 13.

Girls Basketball Youth Night at HSE High School and Fishers High School!

The HSE and Fishers High School girls basketball programs would like to invite all of the girls in our travel and rec league basketball programs to Girls Basketball Youth Night.

Girls in the rec league may attend Youth Night at either/both high schools. Girls in the travel program should attend Youth Night at the high school they will attend. Wear your rec or travel jersey for free admission!

Update for HSE youth night: Please arrive around 6:00 for an autograph session with the Varsity players in the lobby by the concession stand. The JV game will be in progress and the girls can watch until the end of the 3rd quarter, when an announcement will be made for the coaches and players to meet in the lobby by the Fan Stand. The girls will be directed on to the court to be recognized in between the JV and Varsity games.

The dates for the 2009-10 Youth Nights are:

HSE Lady Royals: Tuesday, January 5th vs. Warren Central

Fishers Lady Tigers: Saturday, January 30th vs. Brownsburg
